Breakfast - Baked French Toast - from Marjorie

Sally Jesse Raphael's Baked French Toast  


Ingredients


  • 1 loaf white bread, cubed
  • 1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, cubed
  • 8-12 eggs depending on size
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup milk

directions


  • Line bottom of 11X13 inch pan with half the bread cubes.
  • Layer cream cheese cubes on top of bread.
  • Put remaining bread cubes on top.
  • Beat together eggs, maple syrup and milk in a large bowl.
  • Pour over bread.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Next morning: Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes until light golden brown.
  • Makes 8 servings.
